absolutely underwhelmed by my stay, it started with a knocking noise in the ceiling, which was just delightful. then, the food servers were so confused, it made me wonder if they were trained at all. you'd think a place like this would at least offer some sort of special treatment, but alas, I almost gave a good review but just couldn't.

during my stay, I loved how close I was to the Astor House Museum, just a short stroll away, and the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum that was only about 1 km from my hotel, making it so easy to explore the local history on foot, as discovering these attractions added so much to my experience in the area.

The hotel's location in downtown Golden made it super easy for our family to explore the area. We loved trying out the nearby shops and grabbing ice cream at a local spot. The staff were friendly, making us feel right at home during our stay. We even enjoyed a beautiful morning yoga at Red Rocks, which was just a short drive away!

The location of Ascend Hotel in Golden is perfect. I loved being just steps away from the river and downtown. The atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a lovely view of the creek. My wife and I had a great time enjoying breakfast at the on-site restaurant. It was delicious! However, we faced a couple of hiccups. When we first arrived, we had trouble with the air conditioning, which made it a bit uncomfortable during the night. The bathroom door in our room also stuck, which was annoying. Service was great, but the front desk staff could have been more informative about the parking validation process, especially since they had just started charging for parking. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, but a few improvements would enhance the experience.
